went to the lantern festival at bkt jalil just now. the initial plan was to go with tt, ch and the guys from help, but end most of my girlfriends couldnt make it. and i was really bored at home, so ajaked mel, jacky, ck and sp along. turn out it was fun actually. though some people say the festival is not really interesting, i say it depends on which group of friends you are going with. if you're going with a bunch of close friends, that you hangout together oftenly, then even the earth most boring event wouldnt stop you from having fun together. anyway, the lanterns are all made of cloths, with lightings. we were late. thanks to ck, i was waiting at home for him to come, and mel was msging me saying she has already arrive. sigh. hehe. what we did was a lot of photo taking, and playing with angles, which was the most interesting part. hehe! because by just plainly snapping it like that is no fun at all. there was this part when we wanted to asked some passerby to help up snap photo, we were eyeing this guy, he was using a very professionaly camera snapping photos of different angle, he look really professional. so we decided to ask him to help us. we thought that he is some guy from newspaper that is reporting the festival. jacly was saying he is definitely from the star as he was wearing a red t shirt. lame. hehe =p anyway, when we were at this gigantic buddha lantern, we saw this pro guy again, and again, we ask him to help us snap a photo. he was ok with it. not just that he used his very-canggih camera to snap also. so the thoughts of us appearing in the papers were lighten up! hehe. but ironically, he said he is not reporters from newspapers, he studies computer but photography is his passion. so sad right? our hope to appear in the papers just vanished like that. keke! well, im still waiting for his email, he promise to send us the photo. ~apart from just huge lanterns, there are a lot of other stuff also. hawker stall and lots of booths- potraits drawing, modern fortune teller, phone strap booth, rent a chinese traditional costume and snap a photo, steamboat, and other food. last but not least the 'mak nga tong' i dont know what is it call in english. we first have to spin the thing. to see which animal we get. and then this lady from china will make this mak nga tong into the animal shape that we had spin earlier on. all of us bought one, not one actually. hehe. i bought 3, ck also 3, and mel got 2. mine is a rooster which i gave it to my mum. the other two is goat and a peace bird. very interesting i would say. the lady was very skillful, she used the melted mak nga tong to make shapes of animals.
